Mustafizur Rahman holds nerve as Bangladesh thrilling 3-run victory over Afghanistan in a nail-biter game of the Super Four's fourth match of a Asia Cup.

Mushfiqur Rahim became the third Bangladeshi batsman to reach the 5000-runs mark in One-day internationals after Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan. 128 : Imrul Kayes and Mahmudullah set up the record sixth-wicket partnership for Bangladesh in One-day internationals, previously held by the 123-run stand between Khaled Mashud and Al Sahariar against West Indies at Dhaka in 1999.

Bangladesh scored 249-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Mahmudullah 74, Imrul Kayes cracked a unbeaten 72 off 89-balls including 6-fours.

Liton Das struck 41 off 43-balls including 3-fours and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 33 off 52-balls included 2-fours & a six.

Afghanistan best bowler by Aftab Alam picked up 3-wickets, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan both took one-wickets.

Afghanistan scored 246-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Hashmatullah Shahidi struck 71 off 99-balls including 5-fours, Mohammad Shahzad hit 53 off 81-balls included 8-fours.

Asghar Afghan scored 39 off 47-balls including 2-fours, Mohammad Nabi blasted a 38 off 28-balls included 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 135.71 and Samiullah Shinwari 23 not out.

Bangladesh best bowler by Mustafizur Rahman, Mashrafe Mortaza both took two-wickets and one for Shakib Al Hasan - Mahmudullah.

Mahmudullah named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored 74-runs off facing 81-balls including 3-fours and 2-sixes.
