Mohammad Shahzad's record-breaking 124 before Rashid Khan holds nerve as match-tied against India, despite a Ravindra Jadeja's all-round display in a epic game of the fifth match of a Asia Cup.

This is the 36th One-day international match to end in a tie. India have been involved in eight of the 36. It is the first tie between India and Afghanistan in ODIs. Afghanistan's 252 was their highest score against India in One-day internationals, previous highest total was 159 at Dhaka in 2014. Mohammad Shahzad's 124 was his second highest score for Afghanistan in One-day international and the highest-score by an Afghanistan batsman against India in ODIs. Mohammad Shahzad became the first Afghanistan batsman to score a hundred against India in One-day international cricket history.  Afghanistan's 252 was the joint-lowest team score for when a batsman had got to hundred in ODIs since 2001. 110 : KL Rahul and Ambati Rayudu set up the second highest first-wicket partnership for India against Afghanistan in One-day internationals.

Afghanistan scored 252-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Shahzad 124 - which was his 5th ODI hundred and his first century against India in ODIs.

Mohammad Nabi struck 64 off 56-balls including 4-sixes & 3-fours, Najibullah Zadran 20 and Gulbadin Naib 15.

India best bowler by Ravindra Jadeja picked up 3-wicket, Kuldeep Yadav takes two wickets, Kedar Jadhav, Khaleel Ahmed both took one-wickets and Debutant Deepak Chahar - who took one-wicket on his debut ODI match.

India scored 252 for all-out in 49.5 overs with top scorer by KL Rahul struck 60 off 66-balls including 4-fours & a six.

Ambati Rayudu hit 57 off 49-balls including 4-sixes & 4-fours, Dinesh Karthik scored 44 off 66-balls included 4-fours, Ravindra Jadeja 25 and Kedar Jadhav 19.

Afghanistan best bowler by Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Aftab Alam each took two-wickets and one for Javed Ahmadi.

Mohammad Shahzad named Player of the match for his magnificent batting performance to scored a sparkling 124-runs knocked off facing 116-balls including 11-fours and 7-sixes with strike rate of 106.89.
