Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah's combined 5-wickets before A superb century from Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane's fifty steers to India convincing seven-wicket victory over Australia and clinch the five-match series with 4-1 and back to their No.1 spot in ICC ODI-Rankings in the fifth ODI.

  • India chased 243 was their eighth highest successful run-chase against Australia at their home venue in One-day internationals.
  • 6 : Rohit Sharma hit the second most centuries by an Indian batsman against Australia in One-day internationals after Sachin Tendulkar (9) and the joint second most hundreds by a batsman against Australia in ODIs, jointly with West Indies' Desmond Haynes.
  • 14 : Rohit Sharma equalled a joint fifth most centuries hit for India in One-day internationals, jointly with Yuvraj Singh.
  • Australia's 242 was their lowest score against India at Jamtha in One-day internationals, previous lowest total was 255 in 2009.

Australia scored 242-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by David Warner struck 53-runs off 62-balls including five boundaries, Marcus Stoinis cracked a 46 off 63-balls included 4-fours & a six.

Travis Head scored 42 off 59-balls including 4-fours, Aaron Finch hit 32 off 36-balls included 6-fours, Matthew Wade 20 and Steve Smith 16.

India best bowler by Axar Patel picked up 3-wicket for 38-runs in 10-overs, Jasprit Bumrah takes 2-wickets, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kedar Jadhav each took one-wickets.

India chased 243-3 in 42.2 overs with top scorer by Rohit Sharma 125 - which was his 14th ODI hundred and his sixth century against Australia in ODIs.

Ajinkya Rahane struck 61-runs off 74-balls included seven boundaries and Virat Kohli scored 39 off 55-balls included 2-fours.

Australia best bowler by Adam Zampa picked up 2-wickets for 59-runs from 8 overs and Nathan Coulter-Nile took one wicket.

Rohit Sharma named Player of the match for his match-winning magnificent 125-runs knocked off facing 109-balls including 11-fours and 5-sixes with strike rate of 114.67.

Hardik Pandya earned player of the series for his all-round performance to took 6-wickets and contributed 222-runs including two-fifties in the five-match ODI series.
