Babar Azam's brilliant century and Shoaib Malik's blazing 81 before Three-wicket hauls from Hasan Ali and Rumman Raees helped to Pakistan thumping 83-run victory over Sri Lanka, despite a fighting half-century from No.8 batsman Akila Dananjaya and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

Pakistan scored 292-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Babar Azam 103 - which was his 6th ODI hundred & his first century against Sri Lanka in ODIs - including five boundaries, Shoaib Malik 81.

Fakhar Zaman scored 43 off 45-balls including 4-fours & a six and Mohammad Hafeez hit 32 off 38-balls included 5-fours.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Suranga Lakmal takes two-wickets, Jeffrey Vandersay, Lahiru Gamage, Akila Dananjay and Thisara Perera each took one-wickets.

Sri Lanka scored 209-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Lahiru Thirimanne struck 53 off 74-balls including three boundaries.

Akila Dananjay scored a unbeaten 50 off 72 deliveries including five boundaries, Jeffrey Vandersay 25, Thisara Perera 21.

Pakistan best bowler by Hasan Ali, Rumman Raees both picked up 3-wickets and one for Shadab Khan - Mohammad Hafeez.

Shoaib Malik named player of the match for his blazing 81-runs knocked off facing 61-balls including 5-fours and 2-sixes with strike rate of 132.78.
