All-round display from Shadab Khan's maiden half-century with three-wickets and Babar Azam's record-breaking century helped to Pakistan comprehensive 32-run victory over Sri Lanka, despite a brilliant century from captain Upul Tharanga and wrap up 2-0 lead in a low-scoring game of the second ODI.

  • Pakistan's 32-run win was their second largest victory by terms of runs against Sri Lanka at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in One-day internationals.
  • Sri Lanka slump to their ninth consecutive ODI defeat.
  • Babar Azam became the fastest to reach 7 ODI centuries in 33 innings, beating Hashim Amla's record of 41 innings.
  • Babar Azam became the first batsman to score five consecutive ODI hundreds in one country, surpassing the previous record of 4 by AB de Villiers in India (2010-2011).
  • Babar Azam's average of 57.20 - the second-highest after Ten Doeschate (67.0) for players with 1000+ runs.
  • 109 : Babar Azam and Shadab Khan set up the record seventh-wicket partnership for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in One-day international, previously held by the 69-run stand between Moeen Khan and Saqlain Mushtaq at Mohali in 1997 and Pakistan's fourth highest seventh-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • Upul Tharanga became the tenth Sri Lankan batsman to score a hundred against Pakistan in One-day internationals.
  • Sri Lanka's 187 was their lowest score at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in One-day international, previous lowest was 215 against same opponent in 2007 and the eighth lowest total at these venue in ODIs.

Pakistan scored 219-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Babar Azam 101 - which was his 7th ODI hundred & his second century against Sri Lanka in ODIs - including six boundaries and Shadab Khan 52 not out.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Lahiru Gamage claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 57-runs in 10-overs, Thisara Perera took 2-wickets and one for Suranga Lakmal and Jeffrey Vandersay.

Sri Lanka scored 187 for all-out in 48 overs with top scorer by Upul Tharanga 112 off 144-balls - which was his 15th ODI hundred & his first century against Pakistan in ODIs - including 14-fours and Jeffrey Vandersay 22

Pakistan best bowler by Shadab Khan 3-47, Shoaib Malik, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Hasan Ali and Rumman Raees each took one-wickets.

Shadab Khan named player of the match for his all-round performance to picked up 3-wickets for 47-runs in 9-overs including a maiden after scoring a unbeaten 52-runs knocked off facing 68-balls including a boundary.
