Eoin Morgan's century before Four-wicket hauls from Liam Plunkett and Chris Woakes helped to England thumping 45-run victory over West Indies and go up 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

This was the first time England had failed to set up a total of at least 300-score when batting first in an ODI since February 2016. This was Eoin Morgan's 5th ODI century as captain, a new record for an England captain surpassing the four made by Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook.

England scored 296-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Eoin Morgan 107 - which was his 10th ODI hundred.

Ben Stokes struck 55 off 61-balls including 3-sixes, Sam Billings scored 52 off 56-balls included seven boundaries and Moeen Ali scored unbeaten 31-runs.

West Indies best bowler by Andre Nurse, Shannon Gabriel each picked up two wickets from their 10-overs and Devendra Bishoo took one wicket.

West Indies scored 251 for all-out in 47.2 overs with top scorer by Jason Mohammed struck 72 off 91-balls including seven boundaries, Jonathan Carter scored 52 off 47 deliveries included 4-fours and 2-sixes, Shai Hope 31, Evin Lewis and Andre Nurse each scored 21-runs.

England best bowler by Liam Plunkett 4-47, Chris Woakes 4-40 and Adil Rashid took one wicket.

Eoin Morgan named Player of the match for his brilliant batting display of scoring 107-runs off 116-balls including 11-fours and 2-sixes.
