All-round display from Shakib Al Hasan's fifty with two wickets, Mushfiqur Rahim's half-century and Mashrafe Mortaza's three-for helped to Bangladesh registered their historic first ODI win against Afghanistan by comprehensive 105-runs in a one-sided game of the seventh match of a World Cup.

  • Bangladesh's 105-run win was their seventh largest victory by terms of runs in One-day international and It is their biggest win in World Cups, previous biggest win by 67-runs against South Africa at Providence in the 2007 World Cup.

  • 114 : Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim set up the record fifth-wicket partnership for Bangladesh against Afghanistan in One-day international, previously held by the 73-run stand between Nasir Hossain and Naeem Islam at Fatullah in the last year and It is their highest fifth-wicket stand in World Cups.

Bangladesh scored 267 for all-out in exact 50 overs with top scorer by Mushfiqur Rahim 71, Shakib Al Hasan hammered a 63 off 51-balls including 6-fours & a six.

Anamul Haque hit 29 off 55-balls including 4-fours, Soumya Sarkar scored 28 off 25-balls included 3-fours & a six, Mahmudullah 23 and Tamim Iqbal 19.

Afghanistan best bowler by Shapoor Zadran, Mirwais Ashraf, Aftab Alam, Hamid Hasan each took 2-wickets and one for Mohammad Nabi.

Afghanistan scored 162 for all-out in 42.5 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Nabi struck 44 off 43-balls including 5-fours.

Samiullah Shinwari scored 42 off 75-balls including 2-fours, Nawroz Mangal 27 and Najibullah Zadran 17.

Bangladesh best bowler by Mashrafe Mortaza picked up 3-wickets for 20-runs in 9-overs, Shakib Al Hasan took 2-wickets, Taskin Ahmed, Rubel Hossain and Mahmudullah each took one-wickets.

Mushfiqur Rahim named player of the match for his quick-fire 71-runs knocked off facing 56-balls including 6-fours & a six.
