David Warner's magnificent 156 sets up to Australia thumping 117-run victory over New Zealand and clinch the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy with 3-0 whitewash in a one-sided game of the third & final ODI.

This is the 11th time Australia have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral three-match series in One-day international and registered their historic first 3-0 whitewash against New Zealand in ODIs. This is the eighth time New Zealand have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral three-match series in One-day internationals. 7 : David Warner hit the most ODI hundreds in 2016 and the joint second most hundreds in a calendar year in ODIs, jointly 7-centuries by Sourav Ganguly in 2000. 299 : David Warner became the sixth player to hit most runs in a bilateral three-match ODI series and the most by an Australian batsman, surpassing the previous record of 294 by Shane Watson against Bangladesh in 2011. 4 : David Warner equalled a joint second most 150+ scores in One-day internationals, jointly with Rohit Sharma, Chris Gayle and Sanath Jayasuriya. David Warner's 156 was his fourth highest score for Australia in One-day international and the joint third highest score by an Australian batsman against New Zealand in ODIs, jointly 156 held by Andrew Symonds at Wellington in 2005. 105 : David Warner and Travis Head set up the fifth highest fifth-wicket partnership for Australia against New Zealand in One-day internationals.

Australia scored 264-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by David Warner hammered a 156 off 128-balls - which was his 11th ODI hundred and his second century against New Zealand in ODIs.

Travis Head scored 37 off consuming 70-balls including two boundaries and George Bailey 23.

New Zealand best bowler by Trent Boult picked up 3-wickets, Mitchell Santner and Colin de Grandhomme both took 2-wickets.

New Zealand scored 147 for all-out in 36.1 overs with top scorer by Martin Guptill struck 34 off 40-balls including 3-fours, Tom Latham 28, Colin Munro 20 and Mitchell Santner 15.

Australia best bowler by Mitchell Starc picked up 3-wickets for 34-runs in 10-overs including three maidens, Pat Cummins, James Faulkner, Travis Head each took two-wickets and one for Josh Hazlewood.

David Warner named Player of the match for his magnificent 156-runs knocked off facing 128-balls including 13-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 121.87.

David Warner earned player of the series for contributing 299-runs including two centuries with average of 99.66 in the three-match ODI series.
