Three-wicket hauls from Kedar Jadhav and Umesh Yadav before A masterclass unbeaten 154 by Virat Kohli and A captain innings from MS Dhoni's 80 helped to India emphatic seven-wicket victory over New Zealand and wrap up 2-1 lead in the third ODI.

  • India chased 286 was their second highest successful run-chase against New Zealand in One-day internationals.
  • MS Dhoni became the fifth Indian to reached 9000 ODI runs. MS Dhoni who becoming the 17th player overall and the third wicketkeeper to the mark this milestone.
  • Virat Kohli's 154* was his second highest score for India in One-day international and the third highest score by an Indian batsman against New Zealand in ODIs.
  • 151 : Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni set up the second highest third-wicket partnership for India against New Zealand in One-day internationals.
  • India's 289 was the highest ODI score at IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali

New Zealand scored 285 for all-out in 49.4 overs with top scorer by Tom Latham struck 61 off 72-balls including 3-fours & a six.

James Neesham scored 57 off 47-balls including seven boundaries with strike rate of 121.27, Ross Taylor hit 44 off 57-balls included 4-fours & a six.

Matt Henry scored a unbeaten 39 off 37-balls including 4-fours & a six, Martin Guptill struck 27 off 22-balls included 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 128.57 and Kane Williamson 22.

India best bowler by Kedar Jadhav picked up 3-wickets for 29-runs in 5-overs, Umesh Yadav took 3-wickets and one for Amit Mishra - Jasprit Bumrah.

India chased 289-3 in 48.2 overs with top scorer by Virat Kohli cracked a unbeaten 154 off 134-balls - which was his 26th ODI hundred, his third century against New Zealand in ODIs and his 16th ODI hundred in run-chasing.

MS Dhoni struck 80 off 91-balls including 6-fours & 3-sixes and Manish Pandey 28 not out.

New Zealand best bowler by Matt Henry took 2-wickets and one for Tim Southee.

Virat Kohli named Player of the match for his match-winning masterclass unbeaten 154-runs knocked off facing 134-balls including 16-fours and a six with strike rate of 114.92.
