Stunning centuries from Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul before Kuldeep Yadav's hat-trick and Mohammed Shami's three-for helped to India massive 107-run victory over West Indies, despite a Nicholas Pooran's assault and level the series with 1-1 in a historic game of the second ODI.

  • 7 - Number of ODI hundreds for Rohit Sharma in 2019. Only once has any batsman made more in a calendar year. Sachin Tendulkar had scored 9-hundreds in 1998 which is the world record.

  • Kuldeep Yadav became the first Indian bowler to take two One-day international hat-tricks in cricket history. Before this match, Kuldeep Yadav had taken his first hat trick against Australian at Eden Gardens Kolkata in 2017. Wasim Akram, Saqlain Mushtaq, Chaminda Vaas and Trent Boult have taken two ODI hat-tricks whereas Lasith Malinga has taken 3 hat-tricks.

  • Shreyas Iyer scored 28-runs (6, 6, 4, 6, 6) - the most runs scored by an Indian batsman in an over in One-day internationals cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 25-runs held by Zaheer Khan against Zimbabwe at Jodhpur in 2000.
  • 6 - Number of half-centuries for Shreyas Iyer in his short ODI career - he has played only 9-innings so far. His rapid 53 in this game was his fourth consecutive fifty in ODIs. He has scored 469 runs in his nine innings at average of 52.11 and striking rate of 104.92.
  • The Visakhapatnam ODI game produced the first ever instance of both captains getting out for first-ball ducks in the same match. Both Virat Kohli and Kieron Pollard were out for golden ducks in this ODI. Overall, this is the 12th instance of both captains getting out for ducks in cricket history.
  • West Indies' 280 was their third highest score at Visakhapatnam in One-day internationals.

India scored mammoth total of 387-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Rohit Sharma 159 - which was his 28th ODI hundred and his third century against West Indies in ODIs.

KL Rahul scored 102 off 104-balls - which was his 3rd ODI hundred, his first century against West Indies in ODIs and also his first ODI hundred in India - including 8-fours and 3-sixes.

Shreyas Iyer scored flurry 53 off 32-balls included 3-fours and 4-sixes, Rishabh Pant - who hammered 15-ball 39-runs with 3-fours and four-sixes with strike rate of 243.75.

West Indies best bowler by Sheldon Cottrell picked up two-wickets 83-runs from his 9-overs, Kieron Pollard, Keemo Paul and Alzarri Joseph each took one wickets.

West Indies scored 280 for all-out in 43.3 overs with top scorer by Shai Hope struck 78 off 85-balls including 7-fours and 3-sixes.

Nicholas Pooran hammered a 75 off 47-balls including 6-sixes & 6-fours with strike rate of 159.57, Keemo Paul scored 46, Evin Lewis 30 and Khary Pierre 21.

India best bowler by Mohammed Shami picked up 3-wickets for 39-runs from 7.3 overs, Kuldeep Yadav - who claimed his second ODI hat-trick, Ravindra Jadeja took 2-wickets and one for Shardul Thakur.

Rohit Sharma named Player of the match for his sensational batting performance to scored a 159-runs off 138-balls including 17-fours and 5-sixes.
