Jason Roy's rampant 162 leads to England emphatic six-wicket victory over Sri Lanka and wrap up 2-1 lead in a rain-truncated high-scoring thriller of the fourth ODI.

  • Jason Roy's 162 was the second highest-score for England in One-day Internationals.

Sri Lanka scored 305-5 in 42 overs - due to rain match reduced 50 to 42-overs per side - with top scorer by Kusal Mendis struck 77 off 64-balls included 13-fours, Angelo Mathews cracked a unbeaten 67 off 54-balls including six-fours and a six.

Dinesh Chandimal scored 63 off 51-balls including 3-sixes & a four with strike rate of 123.52, Danushka Gunathilaka struck 62 off 64-balls included 7-fours and Dasun Shanaka 19.

England best bowler by Adil Rashid and David Willey each picked up two-wickets.

England chased 309-4 in 40.1 overs - due to rain revised target of 308 in 42-overs - with top scorer by Jason Roy 162 - which was his maiden ODI hundred and his second century in the series.

Joe Root scored 65 off 54-balls including nine boundaries, Jonny Bairstow scored 29 and Jos Buttler 17 not out.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Nuwan Pradeep picked up 2-wickets, Danushka Gunathilaka and Suranga Lakmal each took one-wickets.

Jason Roy named player of the match for his match-winning career-best 162-runs knocked off facing 118-balls including 13-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 137.28.
