Paul Stirling's power-packed 92, Ed Joyce and Niall O'Brien's half-centuries steers to Ireland crushing five-wicket victory over West Indies, despite a scintillating century from Lendl Simmons in a high-scoring game of the fifth match of World Cup.

  • 154 : Lendl Simmons and Darren Sammy set up the record sixth-wicket partnership for West Indies in One-day international, West Indies' joint highest sixth-wicket stand in ODIs, jointly 154-run stand held by between Richie Richardson and Jeff Dujon against Pakistan at Sharjah in 1991 and the third highest sixth-wicket partnership in World Cups.

Ireland best bowler by George Dockrell picked up 3-wickets, John Mooney, Max Sorensen and Kevin O'Brien each took one-wickets.

Ireland chased 307-6 in 45.5 overs with top scorer by Paul Stirling 92 - who fell eight-run short of his century.

Ed Joyce hammered a 84 off 67-balls including 10-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 125.37, Nial O'Brien blasted a unbeaten 79 off 60-balls included 11-fours with strike rate of 131.67 and William Porterfield scored 23.

West Indies best bowler by Jerome Taylor picked up 3-wickets and one for Marlon Samuels and Chris Gayle.

Paul Stirling named Player of the match for his match-winning magnificent 92-runs knocked off facing 84-balls including 9-foure and 3-sixes with strike rate of 109.52.
