Kusal Perera and Lahiru Thirimanne leads to Sri Lanka cruising via another DLS method eight-wicket victory over West Indies and took an unassailable 2-0 lead to seal the series in a rain-truncated game of the second ODI.

* Kusal Perera became the fourth Sri Lankan player to dismissed on 99 in One-day internationals after Romesh Kaluwitharana, Sanath Jayasuriya and Tillakaratne Dilshan.

* 156 : Kusal Perera and Lahiru Thirimanne set up the record second-wicket partnership for Sri Lanka against West Indies in One-day internationals, previously held by the 138-run stand between Marvan Atapattu and Kumar Sangakkara at Dambulla in 2005.

West Indies scored 214 for all-out in 37.4-overs due to rain match reduced 50 to 38-overs per side - with top scorer by Johnson Charles struck 83 off 70-balls including 7-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 118.57.

Marlon Samuels scored 63 off 61-balls including 4-fours and 2-sixes and Darren Bravo scored 21.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Milinda Siriwardana, Lasith Malinga both 2-wickets and one for Sachithra Senanayake - Suranga Lakmal.

Sri Lanka chased 225-2 in 36.3 overs - due to rain revised target of 225 in 38-overs - with top scorer by Kusal Perera 99 - who fell one-run short of his century.

Lahiru Thirimanne struck unbeaten 81 off 95-balls including 5-fours and a six, Tillakaratne Dilshan scored 17 and Dinesh Chandimal 15 not out.

West Indies best bowler by Sunil Narine and Ravi Rampaul both took one-wickets.

Kusal Perera named Player of the match for his match-winning brilliant 99-runs knocked off facing 92-balls including 6-foura and 4-sixes with strike rate of 107.60.
