Umesh Yadav's four-for, Axar Patel's three-for before 91 from Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli's fifty helped to India crushing six-wicket victory over Sri Lanka, despite a Mahela Jayawardene's masterclass century and took an unassailable 3-0 lead to seal the series in the third ODI.

Sri Lanka scored 242 for all-out in 48.2 overs with top scorer by Mahela Jayawardene 118 - which was his 17th ODI hundred and his 4th century against India in ODIs.

Tillakaratne Dilshan scored 53 off 80-balls including 7-fours and Seekkuge Prasanna 29.

India best bowler by Umesh Yadav claimed four-wicket haul for 53-runs from 9-overs, Axar Patel picked up 3-wickets, Ambati Rayudu, Ravichandran Ashwin and Dhawal Kulkarni each took one-wickets.

India chased 245-4 in 44.1 overs with top scorer by Shikhar Dhawan struck 91 off 79-balls - who fell nine-run short of his century including 8-fours and a six.

Virat Kohli scored 53 off 61-balls included four-fours and a six, Ambati Rayudu cracked a 35 off 46-balls included 3-fours, Ajinkya Rahane hit 31 off 47-balls with 5-fours and Suresh Raina 18 not out.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Tillakaratne Dilshan, Thisara Perera and Nuwan Kulasekara each took one-wickets.

Mahela Jayawardene named Player of the match for his masterclass batting display of scoring 118-runs off 124-balls including 12-fours and a six.
