Sri Lanka scored 239 for all-out in 49 overs with top scorer by Kumar Sangakkara struck 91 off 123-balls - who fell nine-run short of his century including 10-fours.

Angelo Mathews scored 40, Tillakaratne Dilshan 35 and Thisara Perera 27.

England best bowler by Chris Woakes claimed 6-wicket haul for 47-runs from six overs, Chris Jordan took 2-wickets and one for Steven Finn - James Tredwell.

England chased 240-5 in 49.1 overs with top scorer by Joe Root 104 not out - which was his 3rd ODI hundred and his first century against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

James Taylor scored 68 off 90-balls including 5-fours & a six, Ravi Bopara 28 and Alastair Cook 20.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Sachithra Senanayake takes 2-wickets, Thisara Perera, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Ajantha Mendis each took one-wickets.

Joe Root named Player of the match for his match-winning brilliant unbeaten 104-runs knocked off facing 117-balls including 7-fours and a six.
