Kumar Sangakkara's record-equal century, Ashan Priyanjan and Angelo Mathews' half-centuries sets up to Sri Lanka crushing 61-run victory over Bangladesh and took an unassailable 2-0 lead to seal the series in the second ODI.

  • 17 : Kumar Sangakkara equalled a joint second most centuries for Sri Lanka in One-day internationals, jointly with Tillaknratne Dilshan's (17).
  • 4 : Kumar Sangakkara equalled a joint most centuries hit by an Sri Lankan batsman against Bangladesh in One-day international and also the joitn most by a batsman against Bangladesh in ODIs, jointly with 4-hundreds by Sanath Jayasuriya.
  • Kumar Sangakkara's 128 was his joint fifth highest score for Sri Lanka in One-day international and the second highest score by an Sri Lankan batsman against Bangladesh in ODIs after Sanath Jayasuriya's (130).
  • 114 : Kumar Sangakkara and Ashan Priyanjan set up the second highest fourth-wicket partnership for Sri Lanka against Bangladesh in One-day internationals.

Sri Lanka scored 289-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Kumar Sangakkara 128 - which was his 17th ODI hundred and his fourth century against Bangladesh in ODIs.


Ashan Priyanjan scored 60 off consuming 97-deliveries seven boundaries, Angelo Mathews hammered a unbeaten 56 off 39-balls included 6-fours & a six with strike rate of 143.58.

Bangladesh best bowler by Rubel Hossain picked up 3-wickets, Arafat Sunny, Shakib Al Hasan and Sohag Gazi each took one-wickets.

Bangladesh scored 228 for all-out in 43 overs with top scorer by Mushfiqur Rahim struck 79 off 83-balls including 5-fours and 2-sixes.

Anamul Haque scored 42 off 46-balls including 7-fours, Shakib Al Hasan 24 and Nasir Hossain 22.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Sachithra Senanayake, Thisara Perera, Lasith Malinga, Ajantha Mendis each took 2-wickets and one for Ashan Priyanjan.

Kumar Sangakkara named Player of the match for his masterclass 128-runs knocked off facing 115-balls including 14-fours with strike rate of 111.30.
