New Zealand star batsman Martin Guptill produced a magnificent power-hitting batting performance to smashed a record-breaking unbeaten 237-runs knocked off facing 163-balls including 24-fours and 11-sixes with strike rate of 145.40 helped to New Zealand posted the massive total of 393 against West Indies in the fourth quarter-final of a World Cup.

* Maritn Guptill became the second batsman to score a double-century in World Cup after Chris Gayle.

* Martin Guptill became the first New Zealand batsman to score a double-hundred in One-day international cricket history and overall the fifth player in ODIs after Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma has made two such scores and Chris Gayle.

* Martin Guptill hammered a 152-ball fifth fastest double-century in One-day internationals.

* Martin Guptill plundered unbeaten 237 - the highest score by any batsman in World Cup history, surpassing the previous record of 215 held by Chris Gayle against Zimbabwe at Canberra in this World Cup and the second highest-score by any batsman in ODIs after Rohit Sharma's 264.

* 11 : Martin Guptill hit the second most sixes in an innings in World Cup after Chris Gayle's 11-sixes, It is the second most sixes hit in an innings for New Zealand in One-day international after Corey Anderson's 14-sixes and the joint seventh in the list of most sixes hit in an innings in ODIs, jointly 11-sixes hit by Sanath Jayasuriya, Shahid Afridi and Denesh Ramdin.
