Ravi Rampaul's four-for before Stunning half-centuries from Darren Sammy, Lendl Simmons, Kieran Powell and Darren Bravo helped to West Indies thrilling two-wicket victory over India, despite a Virat Kohli's 99 and level the series with 1-1 in a high-voltage game of the second ODI.

  • West Indies chased 289 was their fourth-highest successful run chase in One-day international and It is their highest chase against India in ODIs.
  • This West Indies' first win chasing a target of 280 or more in their previous 26 attempts. The last time they won chasing 280 or more was against England at Lord's in 2004.
  • This is the second instance of West Indies' four batsmen were scores of fifty or more runs in their innings in One-day internationals. The only other such instance came against England at Kingston in 1994.
  • Darren Sammy's half-century in this match was only the 13th by a West Indies batsman batting at No. 7. The last time this happened was also against India, when Andre Russell hit 53 in Chennai in 2011.
  • MS Dhoni hit the 50th half-century of his ODI-career in this match, becoming the sixth India batsman to hit 50 or more ODI half-centuries. India scored 288-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Virat Kohli 99 who fell one-run short of his century - including nine boundaries.

MS Dhoni blasted a unbeaten 51 off 40-balls including 4-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 127.50, Shikhar Dhawan hit 35 off 37-balls included 5-fours.

Yuvraj Singh scored 28 off 49-balls including 3-fours & a six and Suresh Raina 23 and Ravichandran Ashwin 19.

West Indies best bowler by Ravi Rampaul claimed a 4-wickets for 60-runs in 10-overs, Darren Sammy, Veerasammy Permaul and Jason Holder each took one-wickets.

West Indies chased 289-8 in 49.3 overs with top scorer by Darren Sammy 63 not out, Lendl Simmons struck 62 off 74-balls including 5-fours & a six.

Kieran Powell scored 59 off 70-balls including 7-fours & a six, Darren Bravo cracked a 50 off 54-balls included 8-fours and Dwayne Bravo 18.

India best bowler by Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar each took two-wickets and one for Ravindra Jadeja - Mohit Sharma.

Darren Sammy named player of the match for his match-winning scintillating unbeaten 63-runs knocked off facing 45-balls including 4-sixes and 4-fours with strike rate of 140.
