Shane Watson's whirlwind 143 and Michael Clarke's classy half-century before James Faulkner and Mitchell Johnson's combined 5-wickets helped to Australia comprehensive 49-run victory over England and clinch the NatWest Series 2-1 in the fifth ODI.
Australia scored 298 for all-out in 49.1 overs with top scorer by Shane Watson 143 - who struck his 8th ODI hundred, Michael Clarke cracked a 75 off 76-balls including 10-fours & a six, Aaron Finch scored 26 and James Faulkner 10.
England best bowler by Ben Stokes claimed 5-wicket haul for 61-runs in 10 overs, debutant Chris Jordan who picked up two-wickets on his debut ODI match, Boyd Rankin and Joe Root each took one-wickets.
England scored 249 for all-out in 48 overs with top scorer by Ravi Bopara struck 62 off 66-balls including five boundaries, Jos Buttler cracked a 42 off 37-balls included four-fours, Michael Carberry, Eoin Morgan both scored 30-runs, Ben Stokes 27 and Joe Root 21.
Australia best bowler by James Faulkner picked up 3-wickets, Mitchell Johnson took two wickets, Adam Voges, Fawad Ahmed and Shane Watson each took one-wickets.
Shane Watson named Player of the match for his spectacular batting display of scoring 143-runs knocked off facing 107-balls including 12-fours and 6-sixes with strike rate of 133.64.
Michael Clarke earned player of the series for his brilliant batting performance to contributed 202-runs including one-century and a fifty with average of 67.33 in the three-match series.
