Sri Lankan star batsman Aravinda de Silva scored a record-breaking 145-runs knocked off facing 115-balls including 14-fours and 5-sixes helped to Sri Lanka set up the record total of 398 against Kenya in the 28th match of the Wills World Cup at Kandy.
* Aravinda de Silva's 145 was the highest score by an Sri Lankan batsman in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 140 held by Sanath Jayasuriya against New Zealand at Bloemfontein in 1994 and the sixth highest-score by any batsman in a World Cup.
