Alastair Cook's quick-fire half-century before Bowlers attack helped to England narrow 10-run victory over New Zealand, despite a fighting half-century from Kane Williamson and enter into the semi-final in a rain-shortened game of the 11th match of a Champions Trophy.
England scored 169 for all-out in the allotted 24-overs due to rain overs reduced from 50 to 24-overs per side - with top scorer by Alastair Cook 64, Joe Root struck 38 off 40-balls including 2-fours & a six, Eoin Morgan 15.
New Zealand best bowler by Kyle Mills claimed a 4-wickets for 30-runs in 4.3 overs, Mitchell McClenaghan picked up 3-wickets for 36-runs in 5-overs, Daniel Vettori and Nathan McCullum both took one-wickets.
New Zealand scored 159-8 in 24 overs with top scorer by Kane Williamson struck 67 off 54-balls including 8-fours &a six.
