Imran Nazir's record-breaking 160 sets up to Pakistan cruising to via DLS method 93-run victory over Zimbabwe in a one-sided game of the World Cup Group D match.

Match Stats : 
  • Pakistan's 349 was their highest score in World Cup, previous highest was 338 against Sri Lanka at Swansea in the 1983 World Cup and the eighth total by any team in World Cups.
  • Pakistan's 349 was their fourth highest score in One-day international and It is their highest total against Zimbabwe in ODIs, previous highest was 344 at Bulawayo in 2022.
  • Imran Nazir's 160 was the second highest score for Pakistan in One-day international after Saeed Anwar's 194 against India at Chennai in 1997 and the highest-score by an Pakistan batsman against Zimbabwe in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 141 held by Mohammad Yousuf at Bulawayo in 2002.
  • Imran Nazir's 160 was the highest score by an Pakistan batsman in World Cup history, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 119 held by Ramiz Raja at Christchurch in 1992 and the eighth highest-score by any batsman in World Cups.
  • Imran Nazir equalled a joint fourth most sixes hit in an innings for Pakistan in One-day international, jointly with Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Yousuf and the joint most-sixes hit by any batsman in World Cups, jointly with Ricky Ponting's 8-sixes against India in the 2003 World Cup final.

Pakistan scored mammoth total of 349 for all-out in 49.5 overs with top scorer by Imran Nazir 160 - which was his 2nd ODI hundred, also his second century against Zimbabwe in ODIs and his first hundred in World Cups.

Inzamam-ul-Haq struck 37 off 35-balls including 3-sixes and 2-fours, Iftikhar Anjum hammered a quick-fire 16-ball 32-runs including 2-fours and 2-sixes, Younis Khan scored 28 and Shoaib Malik 21.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Elton Chigumbura, Gary Brent both picked up 3-wickets, Sean Williams, Tawanda Mupariwa and Chris Mpofu each took one-wickets.

Zimbabwe scored 99 for all-out in 19.1 overs due to rain revised target of 193 in 20-overs with top scorer by Elton Chigumbura cracked a 27 off 11-balls including four-sixes with strike rate of 245.45, Stuart Matsikenyeri scored 18 and Brendan Taylor 13.

Pakistan best bowler by Shahid Afridi picked up 3-wickets for 20-runs, Umar Gul, Danish Kaneria both took two-wickets and one for Mohammad Sami - Mohammad Yousuf - who took his first wicket in ODIs.

Imran Nazir named Player of the match for his sensational batting performance to scored 160-runs knocked off facing 121-balls including 14-fours and 8-sixes with strike rate of 132.23.
