New Zealand survive Lasith Malinga's magic to thrilling one-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in a low-scoring game of the Champions Trophy Group A match.
* New Zealand register their first win over Sri Lanka in four years in ODIs.
Sri Lanka scored modest total of 138 for all-out in 37.5 overs with top scorer by Kumar Sangakkara struck 68 off 87-balls including 8-fours, Tillakaratne Dilshan scored 20 and Thisara Perera 15.
New Zealand best bowler by Nathan McClenaghan claimed 4-wicket haul for 43-runs in 8.5 overs, Kyle Mills, Nathan McCullum both took two-wickets and one for Daniel Vettori.
New Zealand chased 139-9 in 36.3 overs with top scorer by Nathan McCullum 32, Martin Guptill cracked a 25 off 24-balls including four boundaries, Brendon McCullum scored 18, Kane Williamson 16 and Tim Southee 13 not out.
Sri Lanka best bowler by Lasith Malinga claimed 4-wicket haul for 34-runs in 10-overs including two maidens, Shaminda Eranga took two-wickets and one for Tillakaratne Dilshan - Rangana Herath.
Nathan McCullum named Player of the match for his all-round performance to scored 32 off 42-balls including 3-fours and took two-wickets for 23-runs in 8-overs.
