A magnificent bowling performance and an steady innings from wicketkeeper Niall O'Brien helped to Ireland registered their historic first ODI win against Pakistan by a stunning 3-wickets and sent Pakistan crashing out of the tournament in a low-scoring thriller of the ninth match of a World Cup.
* This was Ireland's first win in a World Cup, and the biggest upset in years.
Pakistan scored modest total of 132 for all-out in 45.4 overs with top scorer by Kamran Akmal struck 27 off 47-balls including four-fours, Imran Nazir scored 24 and Mohammad Yousuf 15.
Ireland best bowler by Boyd Rankin picked up 3-wickets, Johan Botha, Kyle McCallan both takes two-wickets, Trent Johnston, Kevin O'Brien and Dave Langford-Smith each took one-wickets.
Ireland chased 133-7 in 47.1 overs with top scorer by Niall O'Brien 72 and Kevin O'Brien 16 not out.
Pakistan best bowler by Mohammad Sami picked up 3-wickets, Iftikhar Anjum takes 2-wickets for 5-runs, Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez each took one-wickets.
Niall O'Brien named Player of the match for his match-winning brilliant 72-runs knocked off facing 107-balls including 6-fours and a six.
