Skipper Richie Richardson led to West Indies cruise four-wicket victory over Australia, despite a brilliant century from Ricky Ponting and qualify for the quarter-finals in the World Cup Group A match.
* Ricky Ponting became the sixth Australian batsman to score a century against West Indies in ODIs and also the sixth Australian player to score a hundred in World Cups.
Australia scored 229-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Ricky Ponting struck 102 off 112-balls - which was his 2nd ODI hundred, his first century against West Indies in ODIs - including five-fours and a six.
Steve Waugh cracked a 57 off 64-balls included 3-fours & a six and Mark Waugh scored 30 off 62-balls included a boundary.
West Indies best bowler by Courtesy Walsh took two-wickets and one for Roger Harper.
