  • Sachin Tendulkar's unbeaten 127 was the third highest score for India in One-day international, It is the second highest score by an Indian batsman in World Cup after Kapil Dev's unbeaten 175 and the tenth highest score by a batsman in World Cups.
  • 163 : Ajay Jadeja and Sachin Tendulkar set up the third highest first-wicket partnership for India in One-day international, India's joint eight highest any-wicket stand in ODIs, jointly unbeaten 163-run stand held by between Sunil Gavaskar and Mohammad Azharuddin against England at The Oval in 1986, It is the India's highest first-wicket stand in World Cup and It is the fourth highest opening stand in World Cups.

Kenya scored 199-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Steve Tikolo struck 65 off 83-balls including 4-fours & a six.

Dipak Chudasama scored 29 off 51-balls including 5-fours, Kennedy Otieno 27, Maurice Odumbe 26 and Tito Odumbe 15 not out.

India best bowler by Anil Kumble picked up 3-wickets, Venkatapathy Raju took two-wickets and one for Venkatesh Prasad.

India chased 203-3 in 41.5 overs with top scorer by Sachin Tendulkar 127 not out - which was his 5th ODI hundred, his first century against Kenya in ODIs and also his first ODI hundred in World Cups.

Ajay Jadeja struck 53 off 85-balls including 4-fours & a six and Nayan Mongia 8 not out.

Kenya best bowler by Steve Tikolo, Aasif Karim and Maurice Odumbe each took one-wickets.

Sachin Tendulkar named Player of the match for his tmatch-winning magnificent unbeaten 127-runs knocked off facing 138-balls including 15-fours and a six.
