Half-centuries from Andrew Symonds, Matthew Hayden and Michael Clarke before Bowlers attack helped to Australia crushing 47-run victory over India, despite a fighting knock from Yuvraj Singh's classy 121 and go up 2-0 lead in the third ODI.

Match Stats : 
  • Australia's 290 was their fifth highest score against India in Indian soil in One-day internationals and It is the highest total at Hyderabad in ODIs, previous highest was 252 by South Africa against India in 2005.
  • India's 243 was their lowest score at Hyderabad in One-day internationals.
  • 123 : Michael Clarke and Andrew Symonds set up the record fourth-wicket partnership for Australia against India in One-day international, previously held by the 122-run stand between Adam Gilchrist and Andrew Symonds at Perth in 2004.
  • Yuvraj Singh's 121 was his second highest-score for India in One-day international and also his second highest-score against Australia in ODIs.
  • 123 : Michael Clarke and Andrew Symonds set up the record fourth-wicket partnership for Australia against India in One-day international, previously held by the 122-run stand between Adam Gilchrist and Andrew Symonds at Perth in 2004.
  • Robin Uthappa and Rahul Dravid both out without scoring in this match - This is the first time India's No.3 and No.4 batsmen have both scored ducks in a same ODI.
  • Ricky Ponting became the second Australian captain to lead 150 matches in One-day international and overall the fifth captain in ODIs after Stephen Fleming (218), Arjuna Ranatunga (193), Allan Border (178) and Mohammad Azharuddin (173).

Australia scored decent total of 290-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Andrew Symonds 89, Matthew Hayden struck 60 off 70-balls including ten boundaries.

Michael Clarke cracked a 59 off 71-balls included four boundaries, Adam Gilchrist scored 29 and Ricky Ponting 25.

India best bowler by Irfan Pathan, Sreesanth Zaheer Khan each took two-wickets and one for Yuvraj Singh.

India scored 243 for all-out in 47.4 overs with top scorer by Yuvraj Singh 121 off 115-balls - which was his 8th ODI hundred & his second century against Australia in ODIs - including 12-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 105.21.

Sachin Tendulkar struck 43 off 71-balls including six boundaries, MS Dhoni scored 33 off 37-balls included 4-fours and Harbhajan Singh 19 not out.

Australia best bowler by Brett Lee, Brad Hogg both picked up 3-wickets, Mitchell Johnson took two-wickets and one for James Hopes - Stuart Clark.

Andrew Symonds named Player of the match for his spectacular batting display of scoring a 89-runs knocked off facing 67-balls including 5-sixes and five-fours with strike rate of 132.83.
