A brilliant 85 from opener William Porterfield and Kevin O'Brien's valuable 48 before Bowlers guided Ireland registered their historic first ODI win against Bangladesh by comfortable 74-runs in the 42nd match of a ICC Cricket World Cup.
Ireland scored 243-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by William Porterfield 85, Kevin O'Brien 48 off 44-balls - who fell two-run short of his half-century including 2-sixes and 2-fours, Jeremy Bray scored 31 and Trent Johnston 30.
Bangladesh best bowler by Mashrafe Mortaza took two-wickets and one for Shakib Al Hasan.
Bangladesh scored 169 for all-out in 41.2 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Ashraful struck 31 off 30-balls including five-fours and a six, Habibul Bashar cracked a 32 off 57-balls included two boundaries and Tamim Iqbal scored 29 off consumed 59-balls with 4-fours.
Ireland best bowler by Kyle McCallan, Dave Langford-Smith, Trent Johnston, Boyd Rankin each took two-wickets and one for Andre Botha.
