A rapid knock from Luke Wright and Kevin Pietersen before Stuart Broad three-wicket haul helped to England thumping 48-run victory over Pakistan and enter into Super Eights in the World Twenty20 Group B match.
England scored 185-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Kevin Pietersen hammered a quick-fire 58 off 38-balls including five-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 152.63, Luke Wright blasted a 34 off 16-balls.
Owais Shah struck 33 off 32-balls including 3-fours & a six, Dimitri Mascarenhas 16 not out and Paul Collingwood 15.
Pakistan best bowler by Saeed Ajmal, Umar Gul both took two-wickets and one for Mohammad Amir.
Pakistan scored 137-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Younis Khan hammered a rapid 31-ball unbeaten 46-runs including five boundaries with strike rate of 148.38, Salman Butt struck 28 off 23-balls included 5-fours and Shoaib Malik 20.
England best bowler by Stuart Broad picked up 3-wickets for 17-runs in 3-overs, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Luke Wright, Graeme Swann and James Anderson each took one-wickets.
Luke Wright named Player of the match for his all-round performance to took one key wicket after a scoring rapid 34-runs knocked off facing 16-balls including 6-fours and a six with strike rate of 212.50.
