Lahiru Thirimanne became the fifth Sri Lanka batsman to score a hundred in a run-chase against Australia in One-day internationals. Lahiru Thirimanne became the seventh Sri Lankan batsman to score a hundred against Australia in One-day internationals. 137 : Lahiru Thirimanne and Tillakaratne Dilshan set up the second-highest second-wicket partnership for Sri Lanka against Australia in One-day internationals. Australia's 170 was their third lowest score against Sri Lanka in One-day internationals.

Australia scored 170 for all-out in 46.5 overs with top scorer by Brad Haddin struck 50 off 67-balls including four-fours and a six.

David Hussey scored 29 off 41-balls including five boundaries, Ben Cutting 27 and George Bailey 26.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Lasith Malinga picked up 3-wickets, Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera both takes two-wickets, Nuwan Kulasekara and Ajantha Mendis each took one-wickets.

Sri Lanka chased 172-2 in 40.1 overs with top scorer by Lahiru Thirimanne 102 not out - which was his 1st ODI hundred, Tillakaratne Dilshan struck 51 off 88-balls including four boundaries and Kusal Perera 14 not out.

Australia best bowler by Ben Cutting and Clint McKay each took one-wickets.

Lahiru Thirimanne named Player of the match for his spectacular batting display of scoring a unbeaten 102-runs knocked off facing 134-balls including 12-fours.
