Australia scored mammoth total of 348- 6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Matthew Hayden 103 - which was his 10th ODI hundred and his 3rd Century in the World Cups.
Ricky Ponting struck 66 off 70-balls including seven boundaries, Shane Watson cracked a unbeaten 65 off 32-balls including 4-sixes and 4-fours with strike rate of 203.12, Michael Clarke 49 off 46-balls - who fell one-run short of his half-century included 7-fours and Michael Hussey scored 37.
New Zealand best bowler by James Franklin picked up 3-wickets, Jeetan Patel took two-wickets and one for Scott Styris.
New Zealand scored 133 for all-out in 25.5 overs with top scorer by Peter Fulton struck 62 off 72-balls including five boundaries and Scott Styris cracked a 27 off 22-balls included five-fours.
Australia best bowler by Brad Hogg claimed 4-wicket haul for 28-runs in 6.5 overs, Shaun Tait picked up 3-wickets, Glenn McGrath took two-wickets and one for Shane Watson.
Matthew Hayden named Player of the match for his classy batting display of scoring 103-runs knocked off facing 100-balls including 10-fours and 2-sixes.
