A superb unbeaten 31 from Dinesh Karthik led to debutants India pulled off a last-ball thrilling six-wicket victory over South Africa and India registered the their historic first-ever T20I win in a low-scoring thriller of the one-off T20 international.
* Dinesh Karthik became the first Indian player to win the Man-of-the-match award on debut match.
South Africa scored 126-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Albie Morkel cracked a 27 off 18-balls including 3-sixes and a four with strike rate of 150, Justin Kemp 22, Johan van der wath 21 and Graeme Smith 16.
India best bowler by Ajit Agarkar, Zaheer Khan both takes two-wickets, Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth each took one-wickets.
India chased 127-4 in 19.5 overs with top scorer by Dinesh Mongia struck 38 off 45-balls including 4-fours & a six.
