Bowlers attack before An unbeaten blazing half-century from Brendon McCullum steers to New Zealand registered their historic first T20I win against Bangladesh by record ten-wickets in a one-sided game of the one-off T20 international.

Match Stats : 
  • The ten-wicket win was New Zealand's first and the fourth overall in Twenty20 internationals. It is also the first such defeat for Bangladesh.
  • New Zealand chased 79 was their second lowest successful run-chase in T20 internationals.
  • Brendon McCullum equalled a 26-ball joint second fastest fifty for New Zealand in T20 international, jointly 26-ball half-century held by Jacob Oram against Australia at Perth in 2007 and the fastest fifty by an New Zealand batsman against Bangladesh in T20Is.
  • Bangladesh's 78 was their lowest score in T20 international, previous lowest was 83 against Sri Lanka at Johannesburg in 2007 and the sixth worst total in T20Is.

Bangladesh scored 78 for all-out in 17.3 overs with top scorer by Raqibul Hasan 18, Tamim Iqbal 14 and Aftab Ahmed 12.

New Zealand best bowler by Daniel Vettori picked up 3-wickets for 6-runs in 4-overs including a maiden, Nathan McCullum, Daryl Tuffey, Jacob Oram each took 2-wickets and one for James Franklin.

New Zealand chased 79-0 in 8.2 overs with top scorer by Brendon McCullum blasted a unbeaten 56 off 27-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 207.40.

Debutant Peter Ingram - who scored a unbeaten 20 off 23-balls on his debut T20I match - including 3-fours.

Daniel Vettori named Player of the match for his excellent economical bowling performance to picked up 3-wickets for 6-runs in 4-overs including a maiden.
