England's 202 was their highest score ever in T20 internationals, previous highest was 200 against India at Durban in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20. Eoin Morgan became the ninth England batsman to score a fifty in T20 international and the second England batsman to score a half-century against South Africa in T20Is. Eoin Morgan's unbeaten 85 was the highest score by an England batsman in T20 international, surpassing the previous record of 79 jointy held by Paul Collingwood and Kevin Pietersen. Paul Collingwood became the first England batsman to score a fifty against South Africa in T20 international cricket history. 98 : Paul Collingwood and Eoin Morgan set up the record fourth-wicket partnership for England against South Africa in T20 international, previously held by the 55-run stand between Matt Prior and Owais Shah at Cape Town in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20 and England's second highest fourth-wicket stand in T20Is. 97 : Graeme Smith and Loots Bosman set up the record first-wicket partnership for South Africa against England in T20 international, previously held by the 17-run stand between Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis at Nottingham in the 2009 World Twenty20 and South Africa's second highest opening stand in T20Is.

England scored massive total of 202-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Eoin Morgan 85 not out, Paul Collingwood blasted a 57 off 32-balls including 4-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 178.12 and Jonathan Trott struck 33 off 25-balls included five-fours.

South Africa best bowler by debutant Ryan McLaren - who picked up 3-wicket on his debut T20I match, Charl Langeveldt and Dale Steyn each took one-wickets.

South Africa scored 127-3 in 13 overs - due to rain DLS par score 128 after 13-overs South Africa were 1-run behind of the par score when the match-stopped.

South Africa top scorer by Loots Bosman blasted a 58 off 31-balls including 5-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 187.09 and Graeme Smith hammered a 41 off 23-balls including 4-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 178.26.

England best bowler by Luke Wright, Graeme Swann and Sajid Mahmood each took one-wickets.
