Nathan McCullum's four-for after Brendon McCullum's fifty and Luke Ronchi's assault helped to New Zealand's record 81-run victory over West Indies and take a 1-0 lead in a one-sided game of the first T20I.

West Indies' 81-run defeat was their worst by margin of runs in T20Is. Nathan McCullum's 4 for 24 was his second best bowling performance for New Zealand in T20 international and the best bowling figures by an New Zealand bowler against West Indies in T20Is.

New Zealand scored 189-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Brendon McCullum cracked a unbeaten 60 off 45-balls including 4-sixes & 2-fours, Luke Ronchi 48 not out.

Martin Guptill struck 25 off 16-balls included 3-fours and Jesse Ryder 22.

West Indies best bowler by Tino Best picked up 3-wickets and Nikita Miller took 2-wickets.

West Indies scored 108-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Andre Fletcher 23, Johnson Charles 16 and Nikita Miller 15 not out.

New Zealand best bowler by Nathan McCullum claimed 4-wicket haul for 24-runs in 4-overs, James Neesham picked up 3-wickets 16-runs in 4-overs and Adam Milne took one-wicket.

Luke Ronchi named Player of the match for his power-hitting batting performance to smashed a unbeaten 48 off facing 25-balls including 4-sixes and 3-fours with strike rate of 192.
