Tim Southee's 5 for 18 was the best bowling figures by an New Zealand bowler in T20 international, surpassing the previous record of 4 for 7 held by Mark Gillespie against Kenya at Durban in the 2007 inagural World Twenty20 and the second best figures in T20Is. Martin Guptill equalled a 23-ball joint fastest fifty by an New Zealand batsman in One-day internationals, jointly 23-ball half-century held by Aaron Redmond against Ireland at Nottingham 2009.

Pakistan scored 143-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Wahab Riaz blasted a unbeaten 30 off 21-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 142.85, Umar Gul struck 30 off 31-balls included 3-fours & a six.

Mohammad Hafeez hit 24 off 21-balls including 4-fours and Shahid Afridi 20

New Zealand best bowler by Tim Southee 5-18, Kyle Mills picked up 3-wickets and one for Scott Styris.
