South African star batsman AB de Villiers thrased 4-sixes and 1-four in a record over for South Africa in T20 internationals during the 20th T20I match of the 2016 ICC World T20 against Afghanistan at Mumbai in 2016.
* 29-runs : Number of runs that were scored in the 17th over from Rashid Khan, which is the most productive over for South Africa and the joint-seventh most productive-over in T20 internationals cricket history. AB de Villiers scored 29-runs, which are also the joint-seventh most runs in a single over. The previous record by most productive over for South Africa was of 26-runs against New Zealand at Wellington in 2012 in which Justin Ontong scored most of the runs.
