Rohit Sharma's quick-fire 83 and Hardik Pandya assault before and Ashish Nehra's three-for helped to India comprehensive 45-run victory over Bangladesh in the opening match of Asia Cup.
India scored 166-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Rohit Sharma 83, Hardik Pandya blasted a 31 off 18-balls including 4-fours & a six with strike rate of 172.72 and Yuvraj Singh 15.
Bangladesh best bowler by Al-Amin Hossain picked up 3-wickets, Mahmudullah, Shakib Al Hasan and Mashrafe Mortaza each took one-wickets.
Bangladesh scored 121-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Sabbir Rahman struck 44 off 32-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours, Mushfiqur Rahim 16 not out and Taskin Ahmed 15 not out.
India best bowler by Ashish Nehra picked up 3-wickets for 23-runs in 4-overs, Jasprit Bumrah, Ashish Nehra and Hardik Pandya each took one-wickets.
Rohit Sharma named Player of the match for his quick-fire 83-runs knocked off facing 55-balls including 7-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 150.90.
