Sri Lanka scored 183-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Thisara Perera 49 - who fell one-run short of his half-century, Lahiru Thirimanne struck 40 off 32-balls including 3-fours & a six.
Debutant Kithuruwan Vithanage - who blasted a 38 off 26-balls on his debut T20I match - including 7-fours with strike rate of 146.15.
England best bowler by debutant Harry Gurney - who took two-wickets on his debut T20I match, Joe Root, Chris Woakes, Chris Jordan and James Tredwell each took one-wickets.
England scored 174-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Alex Hales blasted a 66 off 41-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 160.97.
Ravi Bopara cracked a unbeaten 28 off 15-balls including 3-fours & a six with strike-rate of 186.66 and Jos Buttler struck 26 off 16-balls included four-fours with strike rate of 162.50.
Sri Lanka best bowler by Lasith Malinga picked up 3-wickets, Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera, Nuwan Kulasekara and Suranga Lakmal each took one-wickets.
Thisara Perera named Player of the match for his rapid 49-runs knocked off facing 20-balls including 7-fours and 2-sixes with strike rate of 245.
