An impressive debut from Dawid Malan's record-breaking 44-ball 78 before Chris Jordan and Tom Curran's combined 5-wickets helped England crushing 19-run victory over South Africa, despite a late assault from Mangaliso Mosehle and clinch the three-match series with 2-1 in a series-decider game of the third & final T20I.

  • Dawid Malan's 78 was the highest score for England on debut match in T20 international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 46 held by Paul Collingwood against Australia at Southampton in 2005 and the joint fourth highest-score by a batsman on debut match in T20Is, jointly with Rilee Rossouw.
  • Dawid Malan became the first England batsman to score 50 or more runs on debut match in T20 international cricket history.
  • Dawid Malan became the second England player to win the Man-of-the-match award on debut T20 international match after Kevin Pietersen.
  • 105 : Alex Hales and Dawid Malan set up the second highest second-wicket partnership for England against South Africa in T20 international and England's fourth highest second-wicket stand in T20Is.

England scored 181-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Debutant Dawid Malan - who hammered a 78 off 44-balls on his debut T20I match.

Alex Hales struck 36 off 28-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours, Jos Buttler hit 31 off 22-balls included 2-sixes & a four with strike rate of 140.90.

South Africa best bowler by Dane Paterson claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 32-runs in 4-overs, Andile Phehlukwayo took 2-wickets and one for Morne Morkel - Imran Tahir.

South Africa scored 162-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Mangaliso Mosehle cracked a 36 off 22-balls including 4-sixes & a four with strike rate of 163.63.

AB de Villiers blasted a 35 off 19-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike-rate of 184.21, JJ Smuts struck 29 off 30-balls included 3-fours & a six and Andile Phehlukwayo scored a unbeaten 27 off 20-balls including 4-fours.

England best bowler by Chris Jordan picked up 3-wickets, Tom Curran took 2-wickets and one for Liam Plunkett - Mason Crane.

Dawid Malan named Player of the match for record-breaking debut batting performance to smashed a quick-fire 78-runs knocked off facing 44-balls including 12-fours and 2-sixes with strike rate of 177.27.
