Imran Tahir's maiden five-for after Quick-fire half-century from Hashim Amla helped to South Africa's record 78-run victory over New Zealand in a one-sided game of the one-off T20 international.

Match Stats :  South Africa's 78-run win was their third largest victory by terms of runs in T20 international and their biggest victory against New Zealand in T20Is. Imran Tahir's 5 for 24 was the third best bowling figures for South Africa in T20 international and the best bowling figures by an South African bowler against New Zealand in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 4 for 17 held by Morne Morkel at Durban in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20. Imran Tahir became the third South African bowler to claimed a five-wicket haul in T20 internationals. Imran Tahir became the first South African bowler to claimed a five-wicket haul in New Zealand in T20 international cricket history and overall the second player in T20Is after Tim Southee. New Zealand's 78-run defeat was their second worst by margin of runs in T20Is. 31-matches : Imran Tahir became the second quickest to take 50 T20I wickets after Ajantha Mendis (26-matches). South Africa's 185 was their highest score against New Zealand in T20 internationals, previous highest was 179 at Port Elizabeth in 2012. New Zealand's 107 was their sixth lowest score in the completed innings in T20 international and It is their second worst total against South Africa in T20Is.

South Africa scored 185-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Hashim Amla struck 62 off 43-balls including 9-fours & a six with strike rate of 144.18.

Faf du Plessis cracked a 36 off 25-balls including 3-sixes & a four with strike-rate of 144, JP Duminy hit 29 off 16-balls included 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 181.25.

AB de Villiers scored 26 off 17-balls including 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 152.94.

New Zealand best bowler by Trent Boult takes 2-wickets for 8-runs in 4-overs, Colin de Grandhomme took two-wickets and one for Ben Wheeler.

New Zealand scored 107 for all-out in 14.5 overs with top scorer by Tom Bruce struck 33 off 27-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes.

Tim Southee blasted a 20 off 6-balls including 3-sixes with strike rate of 333.33 and Colin de Grandhomme 15.

South Africa best bowler by Imran Tahir claims 5-25, Andile Phehlukwayo picked up 3-wickets for 19-runs in 3-overs and Chris Morris took 2-wickets for 10-runs in 3-overs including a maiden.

Imran Tahir named player of the match for his spin bowling attack to claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 25-runs in 3.4 overs.
