Dilhara Fernando's four-for before masterclass innings from Sanath Jayasuriya and Sachin Tendulkar helped to Mumbai Indians comfortable nine-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore and ended their IPL campaign in a rain-truncated game of the 55th match of a Indian Premier League.

Mumbai Indians' 9-wicket win was their joint largest victory by terms of wickets remaining in Indian Premier League, it is their 2nd time win by nine wickets and first time Mumbai Indians had defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by nine wickets in IPL. Dilhara Fernando's 4 for 18 was the best bowling figures for Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League and the sixth best figures in IPL.
