Australia scored 219-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Michael Bevan struck 56 off 76-balls including 6-fours.

Mark Waugh struck 50 off 68-balls including 5-fours, Mark Taylor scored 39 off 58-balls included 3-fours and Ricky Ponting hit 35 off 51-balls with a boundary.

South Africa best bowler by Allan Donald picked up 3-wickets and one for Derek Crookes - Pat Symcox.

South Africa chased 220-3 in 46.1 overs with top scorer by Gary Kirsten 105 not out - which was his 7th ODI hundred and his second century against Australia in ODIs.

Andrew Hudson struck 53 off 72-balls including 7-fours and Jonty Rhodes 19 not out.

Australia best bowler by Glenn McGrath took 2-wickets and one for Jason Gillespie.

Gary Kirsten named Player of the match for his match-winning magnificent unbeaten 105-runs knocked off facing 134-balls including 9-fours.
