* It is the third time Mohammad Azharuddin dismissals on nervous nineties in One-day internationals and the joint second most nineties dismissals by an Indian batsman in ODIs, jointly 3 nineties dismissals by Navjot Singh Sidhu.
India scored 289-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Azharuddin 94 - who fell six-run short of his century, achin Tendulkar struck 62 off 61-balls including 8-fours.
Rahul Dravid scored 56 off 68-balls included 3-fours, Ajay Jadeja 25 not out and Nayan Mongia 19 not out.
Australia best bowler by Mark Waugh, Stuart Law both took 2-wickets and one for Glenn McGrath.
Australia scored 284 for all-out in 49.1 overs with top scorer by Mark Taylor struck 78 off 91-balls including 6-fours, Michael Slater blasted a 52 off 38-balls included 5-fours with strike rate of 136.84.
Michael Bevan cracked a 40 off 43-balls including 2-fours, Mark Waugh scored 37 off 49-balls included a boundary and Steve Waugh hit 33 off 40-balls with two boundaries.
India best bowler by Anil Kumble picked up 3-wickets, Robin Singh took 2-wickets, Sunil Joshi, Javagal Srinath and Venkatesh Prasad each took one-wickets.
Mohammad Azharuddin named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a 94-runs knocked off facing 104-balls including 4-fours and 2-sixes.
