Babar Azam's blazing 82 and Mohammad Hafeez anchored innings with 36 led to Pakistan convincing six-wicket victory over Zimbabwe and take a 1-0 lead in the first T20I.

  • 80 : Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez set up the record third-wicket partnership for Pakistan against Zimbabwe in T20 international, previously held by the 43-run stand between Hussain Talat and Sarfraz Ahmed at Harare in 2018 and Pakistan's eighth highest third-wicket stand in T20Is.
  • 20y 64 days : Wesley Madhevere became the youngest Zimbabwe player to score a fifty in T20 internationals, surpassing the previous record of 21y 218 days by Brendan Taylor against Australia at Cape Town in the 2007 World Twenty20.
  • Pakistan's win was their 12th in 12 T20I matches against Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe scored 156-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Wesley Madhewere hammered a unbeaten 70 off 48-balls including 9-fours & a six with strike rate of 145.83.

Sean Williams scored 25 off 24-balls including 4-fours, Elton Chigumbura 21 and Brendan Taylor 20.

Pakistan best bowler by Haris Rauf, Wahab Riaz both took 2-wickets, Mohammad Hasnain takes 1-wicket and debutant Usman Qadir - who took one-wicket on his debut T20I match.

Pakistan chased 157-4 in 18.5 overs with top scorer by Babar Azam hammered a 82 off 55-balls, Mohammad Hafeez struck 36 off 32-balls including 3-fours & a six and Fakhar Zaman 19.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Blessing Muzarabani took 2-wickets and one for Tendai Chatara - Richard Ngarava

Babar Azam named Player of the match for his match-winning blazing 82-runs knocked off facing 55-balls 9-fours and a six with strike rate of 149.09.
