  • This was the eighth day-night match win for Australia in Tests matches. They are yet to lose one of these.

  • Josh Hazlewood became the 18th Australian bowler to take 200-wickets in Test matches.
  • India lost their last seven wickets for just 56-runs in their first innings - which was their eighth worst seven-wicket collapse against Australia in Test matches. They went from 188 for 3 to 244 for all out.

India 1st Innings scored 244 for all-out in 93.4 overs with top scorer by Virat Kohli 74, Cheteshwar Pujara 43, Ajinkya Rahane 42, Hanuma Vihari 16 and Ravichandran Ashwin 15 not out.

1st Innings Australia best bowler by Mitchell Starc claimed a 4-wickets for 53-runs in 21-overs including five maidens, Pat Cummins picked up 3-wickets and one for Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon.

Australia 2nd Innings scored 191 for all-out in 72.1 overs with top scorer by Tim Paine 73 not out out, Marnus Labuschagne 47 and Mitchell Starc 15.

1st Innings India best bowler by Ravichandran Ashwin claimed a 4-wickets for 55-runs in 18-overs including three maidens, Umesh Yadav picked up 3-wickets for 40-runs in 16.1-overs and Jasprit Bumrah took 2-wickets.

India 2nd Innings scored 36 for all-out in 21.2-overs with top scorer by Mayank Agarwal 9 and Hanuma Vihari 8.

2nd Innings Australia best bowler by Josh Hazlewood claimed a 5-wicket haul for 8-runs in 5-overs including three maidens, Pat Cummins picked up 4-wicket for 21-runs in 10.2-overs including four maidens.

Australia chased 93-2 in 21 overs with top scorer by Joe Burns 51 not out and Matthew Wade 33.

2nd Innings India best bowler by Ravichandran Ashwin took 1-wicket for 6-overs including a maiden.

Tim Paine named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a unbeaten 73 in the Australia's first innings and took seven catches in an match.
