Indian star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin claimed a brilliant 6-wicket haul for 61-runs in 17.3-overs including two maidens against England's 2nd innings in the first Test match.
* Ravichandran Ashwin is the first spinner in over 100 years to take a wicket off the first ball of an innings in Test matches after Bobby Peel (1888) and Bert Vogler (1907).
* Ravichandran Ashwin's 6 for 61 was his second best bowling figures for India against England in Test matches.
* Ravichandran Ashwin's 6 for 61 was his 28th 5-wicket haul or more wickets for India in Test matches and the eighth in the list of most five-wicket haul or more wickets in Tests.
