Mohammad Rizwan's unbeaten half-century and Faheem Ashraf's assault helped to Pakistan' record four-wicket victory over South Africa, despite a Heinrich Klaasen's record-breaking fifty and take a 1-0 lead in a tight-game of the first T20I.
* Pakistan chased 189 was their highest successful run-chase in T20 internationals.
* Heinrich Klaasen hammered a 24-ball his second fastest fifty for South Africa in T20 international and the fastest fifty by an South African batsman against Pakistan in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 25-ball half-century held by David Miller at same venue in 2019
South Africa scored 188-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Aiden Markram blasted a 51 off 32-balls including 8-fours & a six with strike rate of 159.37.
Heinrich Klaasen hammered a 50 off 28-balls including 4-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 178.57, Pite van Biljon struck 34 off 24-balls included 2-sixes with strike-rate of 141.66.
Janneman Malan hit 24 off 16-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 150.
Pakistan best bowler by Mohammad Nawaz, Hasan Ali both took 2-wickets and one for Haris Rauf - Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Pakistan chased 189-6 in 19.5 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Rizwan 74 not out, Faheem Ashraf hammered a 30 off 14-balls including 4-fours & a with strike rate of 214.28.
Fakhar Zaman blasted a 29 off 14-balls including 4-fours & a six with strike rate of 142.10.
South Africa best bowler by Beuran Hendricks picked up 3-wickets, Tabraiz Shamsi took 2-wickets and Debutant Lizaad Williams - who took one-wicket on his debut T20I match.
Mohammad Rizwan named Player of the match for his match-winning unbeaten quick-fire 74-runs knocked off facing 50-balls including 9-fours and 2-sixes with strike rate of 148.
