Max O'Dowd's half-century before Vivian Kingma and Paul van Meekeren's combined 5-wickets helped to Netherlands narrow 14-run victory over Scotland and take a 1-0 lead in a rain-shortened game of the first ODI.
Netherlands scored 163-8 in the allotted 33 overs - due to rain match reduced 50 to 33-overs per a side - with top scorer by Max O'Dowd struck 82 off 102-balls including 5-fours & a six.
Debutant Logan van Beek - who scored 24 runs on his debut ODI match and Saqib Zulfiqar 12.
Scotland best bowler by Gavin Main takes 2-wickets for 16-runs in 7-overs including two maidens, Mark Watt took two-wickets, Alasdair Evans, Hamza Tahir and Safyaan Sharif each took one-wickets.
Scotland scored 149-8 in 33 overs with top scorer by Richie Berrington 41 off 43-balls including 3-sixes, George Munsey 27 and Mark Watt 15.
Netherlands best bowler by Vivian Kingma picked up 3-wickets for 21-runs in 7-overs including a maiden, Paul van Meekeren took 2-wickets and one for Aryan Dutt - Logan van Beek.
