Half-centuries from Dawid Malan and Jonny Bairstow before David Willey and Sam Curran's combined 5-wickets helped to England's record 89-run victory over Sri Lanka and clinch the three-match series 3-0 whitewash in a one-sided game of the third T20I.

This is the third time England have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral three-match series in T20 international and their first against Sri Lanka in T20Is. This is the fourth time Sri Lanka have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral three-match series in T20 internationals. England's 89-run win was their third largest victory by terms of runs in T20 international and It is their fourth biggest win against Sri Lanka in T20Is. Sri Lanka' 89-run defeat was their third worst by margin of runs in T20Is. Sri Lanka's 91 was their fourth lowest score in T20 international and It is their worst total against England in T20Is. 105 : Jonny Bairstow and Dawid Malan set up the record first-wicket partnership for England against Sri Lanka in T20 international, previously held by the 80-run stand between Jason Roy and Jos Buttler at Cardiff in the first T20I and England's fourth highest opening stand in T20Is.

England scored 180-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Dawid Malan 76 and Jonny Bairstow struck 51 off 43-balls including 5-fours & a six and Liam Livingstone 14.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Dushmantha Chameera claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 17-runs in 4-overs, Binura Fernando and Isuru Udana both took one-wickets.

Sri Lanka scored 91 for all-out in 18.5 overs with top scorer by Binura Fernando 20, Oshada Fernando 19 and Niroshan Dickwella 11.

England best bowler by David Willey picked up 3-wickets for 27-runs in 4-overs, Sam Curran takes 2-wickets, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, Chris Woakes and Chris Jordan each took one-wickets.

Dawid Malan named Player of the match for his quick-fire 76-runs knocked off facing 48-balls including 5-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 158.33.

Sam Curran earned player of the series for claiming a 5-wickets with average of 9.40 in the three-match T20I series.
